چکیده

We study a thermo-diffusive combustion model for premixed flames propagating in reactive gaseous mixtures which contain inert dust. As observed by Joulin, radiative transfer of heat may significantly enhance the flame temperature and its propagation speed. The Joulin effect is at its most pronounced in the parameter regime where the medium is very transparent while radiative flux dominates convection. In this asymptotic regime, where in the limit the flame temperature achieves its upper bound, we determine the law that describes the relation between the propagation speed of the flame and the control parameters. Finally we present strong numerical evidence for the validity of the asymptotic analysis.

Effect of the temperature difference between gas and organic dust on propagating spherical flames

A new analytical study performed to investigate the effect of the temperature difference between gas and particle in propagation of the spherical flames. The combustible system is containing uniformly distributed volatile fuel particles in an oxidizing gas (Air) mixture. The model includes evaporation of volatile matter of dust particles to known gaseous fuel (methane) and the single-stage reac...

ANALYSIS OF COMBINED CONDUCTION AND RADIATION HEAT TRANSFER IN A RECTANGULAR FURNACE INCLUDING TWO FLAMES

Abstract: The present study deals the theoretical modeling aspects of coupled conductive and radiative heat transfer in the presence of absorbing, emitting and scattering gray medium within two-dimensional square furnace including two flames. The gray radiative medium is bounded by isothermal walls which are considered to be opaque, diffuse and gray. The well known discrete ordinate method (DOM...

Determination of the Equilibrium Parameters of Gaseous Detonations Using a Genetic Algorithm

The present work is concerned with the development of a new algorithm for determination of the equilibrium composition of gaseous detonations. The elements balance equations, and the second law of thermodynamics (i.e., the minimization of the Gibbs free energy of products), are used to determine the equilibrium composition of the detonation products. To minimize the Gibbs free energy with tradi...

بررسی اثر تخلخل در احتراق پیش مخلوط جریان متقابل در ابر ذرات ارگانیک

Due to the increasing need for a more realistic analysis of flame, in this study, the premixed counter flow flames propagation in the uniform mixture of organic porous particles and air is studied. Because of size equality assumption of the porous particles, lycopodium particles at this research are assumed. This analysis framework is thermal-diffusion model with this assumption that the lewis...

Computational Study of Radiative and Convective Heat Transfer in a Cylindrical Combustion Chamber

In this paper, the effect of cold air on the fluid flow inside the cylindrical combustion chamber and its wall temperature distribution have been studied computationally, taking into account the effect of radiative heat transfer from hot gases. The results have been compared with the case that radiative heat transfer was neglected. It is observed that the reattachment length increases when incr...
